Chris Daggs

Chris brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table when he meets with his athletes. Over 25 seasons, he has become a Category 1 racer on the road and track and won multiple state road and track championships. Chris has also had the opportunity to race in Europe and has placed at both the Elite Road and Track National Championships. Looking for new challenges, Chris raced with Sean Burke’s CyclingScience squad in 2007. From this endeavor sprang a new project: the Swamis Developmental Elite Team (DET) which whetted Chris’ appetite for coaching. Under Chris’ leadership, the Swamis DET has achieved great success.

A solid understanding of physiology, many years of experience, and personal success as a Category 1 racer have given Chris a unique perspective on goal setting and achievement. As a strong believer in sports psychology, Chris understands that motivation is key to the ultimate success of his clients and believes there is no substitute for the mental game. His wholistic approach to training not only makes his clients better cyclists, but improves their overall health. Always open to new ways to improve his training regime, Chris has incorporated yoga, physioball training, visualization and meditation, and meticulous nutrition into his routine. Chris believes that quality is key for any athlete, but never shys away from a long ride. Chris is a USA Cycling Certified Coach works with athletes on Level 1-4 Coaching plans and his hourly consulting rate is $50 an hour.

Chris shares his passion for fitness with his wife, Monica, who is also a yoga instructor, cyclist, and (ex?) marathon runner. Chris and Monica welcomed their new son, Bodhin,into their lives in December 2009. Chris’ cycling goals for 2012 include winning a masters state and national championship and continued success on the local masters and Pro/1/2 race circuit.   Contact us to set up a  free consultation.
